The Ghost Hunt In Port Townsend

Our Haunted Heritage went to Port Townsend, Washington to verify claims of ghostly activity in its historic downtown. While nothing sinister is afoot, witnesses have reported phantom shenanigans in a hotel along the main strip.

Ace Haunted Historian, Melissa Becker, broke open the archives to find the city’s dark past. Brothels and saloons had led many young men men to be ‘crimped.’ That’s the local term for shanghai’d, or kidnapped to serve as a ship’s workforce.

Not only that, but tales emerged of a powerful and well-connected madam ran the most luxurious brothel in town.
